Hi welcome to my travel blog- Travelling Mums Journal.
My name is Tiffany, I started documenting my travel experiences long before I became a mum, but my ideas sat stored emotionless and incomplete in note books and on devices for years.
Back then, travelling for me was nothing more than a relaxed and well deserved break away from university and/or work, so the desire to continue my travel tales beyond such vacations often died on my return home.
It was only after the birth of my first child that I finally found time to revisit some of my travel anecdotes. While cradling my daughter close to my chest i imagined the wonderful travel adventures that lay ahead for us as a young family.
I would frequently search the internet for tips and advice on traveling with a baby and travelling particularly as a Black family, Yes, this may sound like a strange thing to Google search and you may wonder why? but unfortunately, racism and prejudice around the world can make travelling for Black families incredibly uncomfortable and upsetting at times.
I struggled to find all this information contained in one place and with these thoughts in mind, Travelling Mum’s Journal was born.
