TMJ VIEWS stands for Travelling Mum’s Journal, a family travel and lifestyle blog. The site focuses on exploring global history, diverse cultures, and Black history, sharing personal family travel experiences from destinations around the world.
My name is Tiffany, I started documenting my travel experiences long before I became a mum, but my ideas remained stored in note books and on devices for years.
Back then, travelling for me was nothing more than a relaxed and well deserved break away from university and/or work, so the desire to continue my travel tales beyond such vacations often died on my return home.
It was only after the birth of my first child that I finally found time to revisit some of my travel anecdotes, and i often imagined the wonderful travel adventures that lay ahead for us as a young family.
I would frequently search the internet for tips and advice on traveling with a baby and travelling particularly as a Black family, Yes, this may sound like a strange thing to Google search and you may wonder why? but unfortunately, racism and discrimination around the world can make travelling for Black families incredibly uncomfortable and upsetting at times.
I struggled to find all this information contained in one place and with these thoughts in mind, I started TMJ Views.
